RELAX Rx™
This product is just what the doctor ordered. RELAX Rx™, a BW Fusion product, is a foliar stress recovery solution designed to support crops facing drought, herbicide damage, hail or water stress. This product revitalizes plants using essential amino acids and other stress mitigating ingredients to enhance root growth, speed recovery, and protect yield. This product fits most post herbicide applications. Whether we see visual stress or not, we stress our crops when we apply herbicide. Plants must metabolize the chemicals we apply post application. Regardless of herbicide tolerance, it takes energy to metabolize herbicides and as a result slows our crop down. RELAX Rx™ eliminates the herbicide hangover.
So how does RELAX Rx™, eliminate stress? This product contains 4 key ingredients we will briefly cover. The first is amino acids. Amino acids play a crucial role in the growth and stress recovery of plants. They are essential building blocks for proteins and help with various physiological processes in the plant. Another key ingredient is an ethylene suppressor. Ethylene suppressors reduce the levels of ethylene, a plant hormone that causes stress responses in plants. I like to use the analogy of cortisol levels in humans. High levels of cortisol are not good for our health. We need to keep these levels in check, similar to plants and ethylene. Cobalt is another ingredient found within this product. Cobalt is essential for nitrogen fixation and the activation of certain enzymes in the plant. Nitrogen and the activation of enzymes contribute to the overall growth and development of the plant. The final key ingredient is fulvic acid. We generally think of fulvic acids in the context of helping chelate nutrients and help drive these nutrients into the plant. The other aspect of fulvic acids is they play a role in enhancing the plant's ability to cope with stress and maintain growth. Together these four key ingredients help limit the impacts of stress and keep our crop performing at a high level for maximum yield.
The recommended use rate of RELAX Rx™ is 16oz per acre. It can be used anytime throughout the year during periods of stress, however, we utilize the product as a planned post application in corn and soybeans. We see quicker recovery from HPPD bleaching in corn and the reduction of burn/speckling from products like Anthem Max, Fomesafen and Clethodim. At recommended rates, RELAX Rx™ costs roughly $5-$6 per acre. Not enough to stress your pocketbook or increase your cortisol levels.
